Duck Life 2: World Champion takes the simple training loop of the original and adds a global racing circuit. Instead of just ruling the local farm, you will travel across the world, entering regional tournaments and building up your duck's stats to compete against increasingly tougher opponents. It is a straightforward progression game that relies heavily on grinding minigames to boost your four core skills.
Each day, you train in specific minigames to earn coins and level up. Once your stats are high enough and you have enough coins to travel, you can enter the country's local race. The races themselves are largely automated based on your stats, so your success comes entirely from how well you manage the training phases.
Controls
The training minigames use simple keyboard inputs:
- Running: Press the Up arrow to jump over obstacles.
- Swimming: Use the Up and Down arrows to dodge hazards.
- Flying: Use the Left and Right arrows to steer through the sky.
- Climbing: Use the Left and Right arrows to jump between canyon walls.
Tips
- Don't skip climbing: Climbing is the new skill introduced in this sequel. Ignoring it will guarantee a loss in the later mixed-discipline races.
- Buy energy drinks: Seed upgrades are nice, but energy drinks let you train longer per session, which is the fastest way to build levels.
- Keep them fed: Your duck uses energy during races and training. Always buy the best food you can afford to keep their stamina up before a major tournament.
