Running Fred is a fast-paced 3D endless runner where you take control of a fearful protagonist sprinting through deadly obstacle courses. With satisfying ragdoll physics and a grim sense of humor, every run is a desperate dash to survive as long as possible. The camera follows closely behind as you navigate a gauntlet of spinning blades, bottomless pits, and falling spikes, requiring split-second reactions to stay alive.
What sets this apart from typical lane-switching runners is the freedom of movement. You have full control over your positioning, allowing for precise double jumps, sliding under low clearance, and chaining wall-runs to bypass sections of missing floor. Between runs, the skulls you collect can be spent on new abilities, ensuring you can push slightly further on your next attempt.
Controls
- Arrow Keys / WASD: Move left and right
- Spacebar / Up Arrow: Jump (press again in mid-air to double jump)
- Down Arrow: Slide to fit under traps
Tips
Use wall-running to your advantage. Whenever you see a sheer wall next to a pit, jump towards it—Fred will automatically run along the surface for a short distance, which is often the safest route through hazardous areas.
Prioritize survival over collecting skulls. It can be tempting to steer into a dangerous path for a cluster of currency, but staying alive longer naturally yields more rewards as the score multiplier increases.
