1010! Deluxe takes the familiar block-fitting mechanics of classic puzzle games and removes the gravity, giving you full control over where pieces go on a 10x10 board. You are handed shapes three at a time and must drag them onto the grid. There is no ticking clock and pieces do not fall—you just need to find a valid spot for everything you are given.
The twist is that you only get your next three pieces once the current ones are placed. Completing a full row or column clears those blocks from the board and frees up space. If you are handed a shape and there is nowhere left to put it, the round is over. It starts out feeling wide open, but the board quickly becomes claustrophobic as awkward blocks pile up.
Controls
- Mouse or Touch: Click and drag a shape from the bottom of the screen to place it on the grid.
Tips
- The dreaded 3x3 square: Always try to maintain an open 3x3 area on your board. The massive 3x3 square block ends more runs than anything else because it requires so much unbroken space.
- Clear in bulk: Dropping a piece that completes two or more lines simultaneously is the fastest way to carve out breathing room.
- Work from the corners: Leaving random single-block holes in the middle of your grid makes it impossible to place larger pieces. Try to build solid walls and keep your empty space contiguous.
