Cold Storage Game

Cold Storage is a physics-based arcade platformer developed by Nitrome, where you guide a fluffy yeti on a desperate escape mission. Trapped inside a giant's deep-freeze larder, you must ascend through a vertical maze of icy caves, frozen machinery, and metal racks. The only way out is to climb, swing, and catapult yourself from bar to bar to reach the exit at the top.

Every level is a test of timing and momentum. When the yeti grabs a pole, he automatically begins swinging back and forth. You have to gauge the angle and release your grip at the absolute peak of the arc to launch yourself toward the next platform. With no time limit, you can plan each leap carefully, but one slip will send you tumbling back down into the frosty depths.

Controls

Navigate the chilly freezer and control your momentum using your keyboard:

• A / D or Left / Right Arrow: Swing left or right on the poles, or move on solid ground.
• W or Up Arrow: Jump, or release and launch yourself upward from a swinging pole.
• S or Down Arrow: Drop down from a pole.

Survival Tips

• Master the Swing Timing: Do not rush your jumps. Wait for the yeti to complete a full swing cycle to build maximum momentum before pressing the jump key at the highest point of the swing.
• Watch Out for Special Bars: Not all bars behave the same. Some poles are extremely slippery and will not let you hang on for long, while others act like trampolines, launching you with extra speed.
• Avoid Icy Hazards: Frozen spikes and crawling enemies block your ascent. Plan your launch trajectories to clear these dangers safely.
