Detective Loupe is a point-and-click mystery game built around one simple tool: a magnifying glass. Each level drops you into a fresh crime scene with its own suspects, and your job is to sweep the scene for clues before questioning anyone.
The pace is deliberate rather than fast. You're clicking through a static scene, holding the magnifier over suspicious details, and piecing together what happened before moving on to interrogation. There's no timer or fail state chasing you — the loop rewards patience and a close look over quick reflexes.
Controls
- Left mouse button — click on people or objects to interact with them
- Hold the left or right mouse button — use the magnifying glass to search the scene for hidden clues
Tips
- Sweep every part of the scene with the magnifier before questioning a suspect — evidence is easy to miss on a first pass.
- If you get stuck, use the built-in hint instead of guessing. The game is built around finding specific clues, not trial and error.
It suits players who want a slower, puzzle-driven session over anything reflex-based — closer to a casual whodunit than an arcade game.
