About Final Ninja

Final Ninja is Nitrome's 2008 stealth-platformer about Takeshi, a ninja trying to walk away from his old life — only his former master Akuma isn't willing to let him go. Across 20 levels you fight and sneak through rooftops, shadows, and industrial hazards on the way to a final confrontation.

Movement alone won't get you through a level: ninja stars deal with enemies at range, and a grappling rope lets you swing over gaps and climb to ledges you can't reach by jumping. Staying in shadow keeps guards from spotting you, so the game rewards picking a route as much as fast reflexes.

Controls

WASD or the arrow keys move and jump, S or Down crouches into shadow for stealth. Click the mouse to throw a ninja star, or click and hold to fire the grappling rope and swing or climb.

Tips

  • Use the grapple to skip past patrol paths instead of fighting through them — sneaking is usually faster than a straight fight.
  • Throw ninja stars before an enemy turns toward you; they work better as an opener than a reaction.
  • Shadows aren't just cover — plan your route around them rather than treating stealth as a last resort.
