Mall Tycoon Game

Mall Tycoon, from developer INTCH, hands you an empty lot and lets you build it into a working shopping mall. You choose which stores go in, stock their shelves, place furniture and decorations to make the place inviting, and hire staff to keep it running — the more variety you offer, the more shoppers spend.

Growth brings its own problem: as foot traffic picks up, so does shoplifting. Part of the loop is walking your own mall to spot and catch thieves before they walk off with your stock, so a bigger mall means splitting attention between expansion and security rather than just clicking upgrades and waiting.

Tips

• Don't sink every dollar into new stores at once — leave enough cash to patrol and catch thieves, or you'll lose more stock than you earn
• Mixing store types tends to pull in more shoppers than filling the mall with duplicates of the same one
