Merge Penguins Game

Merge Penguins is a defense puzzle from EasyCats: you buy eggs, drag matching ones together to hatch and evolve stronger penguins, and line them up to hold off waves of attackers. Nothing here is timed by reflexes — the pressure comes from managing space and currency while the merges get more valuable.

Every round starts small: a few cheap eggs on a cramped board. Merging two identical eggs produces the next tier up, and a penguin of a higher tier hits harder and survives longer against the incoming waves. The tension is deciding whether to cash in a match now for immediate defense or hold the board space and keep merging toward a stronger unit before the next wave lands.

Click to buy an egg. Drag two identical eggs together to merge them into the next tier. Works with mouse on desktop or touch on mobile and tablet.

Tips

• Don't buy eggs faster than you can merge them — a full board with nothing left to combine is dead weight during a wave.
• Prioritize merging over spending every coin on new eggs; a couple of high-tier penguins usually outlast a line of low-tier ones.
• Leave a little open space before a wave hits so you have somewhere to drop a last-second merge.

It's a good fit for short sessions where you want something to fiddle with rather than react to — check in, plan a few merges, and step away.
