Mining in Notebook 2 keeps the doodled-in-a-school-notebook art style of the original and hands you a small mine and a patch of land to turn into a working colony. You start by clicking to chip stone, coal, iron and wood out of the ground, then plow those resources straight back into buying better tools that pull more out per click and per second.
Once resources are flowing, the game opens up into village-building: spend what you've mined on new buildings and instruments that keep producing on their own, so the colony keeps growing even between clicks. There's a fishing spot too, where clicking the water fast enough lands you fish as a separate resource to sink into upgrades.
Controls
Everything is left-click (or tap on mobile/tablet) — click resource nodes to mine them, click the water to fish, and click menu items to buy upgrades and buildings. No keyboard is needed.
Tips
- Reinvest early mining income into faster tools before spending on decoration — the per-click and per-second upgrades compound the rest of the run.
- Check back periodically even if you're not actively clicking: idle production keeps resources piling up while you're away.
- Don't ignore the fishing spot — it's an easy secondary resource that doesn't compete with your mining upgrades.
It's a low-pressure pick for sessions where you want something to click through and check back on rather than a game demanding constant attention.
