Skill Knight sends a small pixel-art warrior wandering through dark dungeons, swinging a sword at whatever crosses the path, cracking open chests, and hunting for the side routes that hide extra loot. It plays like a straightforward dungeon crawler at first glance, but the level design has a trick to it.
The skill tree isn't a menu you open between runs — it's the ground under your feet. Every ability you buy physically extends the corridor forward, so a new branch of the dungeon only opens once you've spent the materials to unlock it. Progress and power are the same currency: you can't see what's ahead until you've earned the way there.
Controls
WASD or the arrow keys to move, with joystick support for touch devices.
Tips
- Detour for chests and hidden side-paths before pushing forward — backtracking gets harder once a new skill-tree branch has opened and moved you past the old area.
- Spend gathered materials on abilities as soon as you can afford them, since the path itself won't extend until you do.
- Watch enemy attack patterns before wading in — a dungeon full of monsters punishes rushing in more than it punishes taking a slow lap of the room first.
Works on computer, phone, and tablet, so it's an easy pick-up-and-explore session whether you're at a keyboard or on a touchscreen.
