About Slope

Slope strips the endless runner genre down to its absolute essentials: speed, gravity, and pure reaction time. You steer a simple neon ball down a procedurally generated, three-dimensional course suspended in a dark void. As you hurtle forward, the track twists, drops, and throws red obstacles into your path, demanding constant micro-adjustments just to stay alive.

What makes the game so difficult to put down is its relentless acceleration. It starts fast and only gets faster, forcing you into a flow state where thinking takes too long and instinct has to take over. Every single run feels entirely different due to the randomized layout, meaning you can never memorize the track—you just have to get better at reacting to it.

Controls

The ball rolls forward automatically. You only need to handle the left and right steering.

  • Keyboard: Use the Left and Right arrow keys, or the A and D keys, to steer the ball.

Tips for Survival

  • Stay in the middle: Whenever possible, keep the ball centered. The track frequently narrows or shifts without warning, and hugging the edges makes it much easier to accidentally slip off.
  • Look far ahead: Don't watch the ball itself. Keep your eyes fixed on the horizon where the new track segments are spawning so you can prepare for sharp turns and red blocks before they reach you.
  • Make tiny adjustments: At high speeds, the physics become very sensitive. Tap the steering keys lightly instead of holding them down, as overcorrecting usually ends with flying off the track entirely.

Slope FAQ

Is there a finish line in Slope?
No, the track is procedurally generated and infinite. The only objective is to survive as long as possible to achieve a high score before inevitably crashing or falling off the edge.
Does the game get faster over time?
Yes, the ball's rolling speed constantly accelerates the further you progress down the track, drastically increasing the difficulty and requiring faster reaction times.
Can I play Slope on a mobile device?
While the game runs in standard web browsers, it was designed specifically for keyboard controls. Playing on a touchscreen is generally not supported or recommended for the precision required.
