Snake Io Game

Snake.io drops you into an open arena with dozens of players, all steering their own growing snake at once. Eat the scattered orbs to lengthen your trail, then start hunting: cut across a smaller snake's path and it's gone, leaving a burst of orbs for whoever gets there first. The longer you survive, the bigger a target you become, so every match is a balance between greedy growth and staying out of a bigger snake's way.

There's no round timer or fixed goal beyond outlasting the arena. A run can end in ten seconds if you cut across your own tail or steer into a rival head-on, or it can stretch on as you climb the leaderboard and start circling opponents to box them in. That short, restart-immediately loop is what keeps it addictive: a bad death costs almost nothing to shrug off.

Controls

Steer with the mouse or the WASD/arrow keys. Hold the left mouse button or spacebar for a burst of speed — it costs some of your length, so use it to escape or finish off a chase rather than as a default state.

Tips

• Stay small early: a short snake turns tighter, which matters more than length in the opening minute when the arena is crowded.
• Circle, don't chase: once you're bigger than a rival, curl into their path instead of following straight behind them — a head-on cutoff kills faster than a tail chase.
• Save your boost: it drains your length, so hold it for the moment you actually need to dodge or close a gap, not for casual speed.
• Watch the edges: open space near the arena border gives you fewer directions to worry about compared to the center.

It's a quick pick-up-and-play game — good for a few short sessions rather than one long sitting, since each run is only as long as your last mistake.
