About Swords and Sandals

Swords and Sandals drops you into a gladiator arena with nothing but a starting sword, a shield, and a pocketful of gold. You build a fighter from scratch, spend points on strength, dexterity, and vitality, then send them into one-on-one duels against the arena's roster of opponents.

Every fight is turn-based: pick an attack, a block, or a special move from the icons around your gladiator and watch the exchange play out. Win a bout and you walk away with gold to spend at the shop on better weapons and armor before your next match, gradually building toward the seven Arena Champions who stand between you and the crown.

Controls

Mouse only — click to create your gladiator, spend skill points, buy gear, and choose your move each turn. No keyboard needed.

Tips

  • Spend early gold on armor before flashy weapons — surviving longer wins more fights than dealing more damage in one hit.
  • Match your stat spending to your gear: a heavy weapon build wants strength, a dodge-and-poke build wants dexterity.
  • Don't skip a shop trip between fights. Going into a match under-equipped is the most common way to lose ground you can't easily win back.

It's a slower, stat-planning kind of fighting game rather than a reflex one — a good fit if you like gearing up a character and watching a build pay off match by match.
