Wood Blocks is a calm, no-timer puzzle built around a single decision each turn: where do these three wooden pieces go? Every round hands you a fresh trio of shapes, and you place them one at a time onto a 10x10 grid, where they settle into place under a light gravity pull. Fill an entire row or column and it clears, opening space for the next batch.
There's no lives counter ticking down and no rush — the game ends only when none of your three current pieces can fit anywhere on the board. That makes the whole thing a spatial packing problem: bigger, oddly-shaped pieces need to be placed early before the board gets too cluttered to fit them, and clearing multiple lines with one piece is worth planning around rather than leaving to luck.
Controls
Click and drag a piece from the tray with the left mouse button, then release it over the grid to drop it into place.
Tips
- Place your largest or most awkward piece first while the board still has open space for it.
- Keep one or two edges of the grid clear rather than spreading pieces evenly — a full clean row is easier to finish from a flat edge.
- Watch all three pieces in the tray together before committing to the first placement; the second and third piece often need to build off where the first one lands.
- Avoid leaving single-cell gaps in the middle of the board — they're the hardest shape to fill later.
It plays in short bursts or long sessions equally well, since nothing forces a session to end besides running out of room.
