About Breaking the Bank

Breaking the Bank is the game that started the Henry Stickmin series: a short point-and-click adventure by PuffballsUnited where you help the stick-figure thief crack a bank sitting alone in the middle of the desert. There's no combo of moves to plan out — you just pick one approach from a short list, watch what Henry does with it, and see whether it works.

Most of the fun is in the picking. Each option is a different, often absurd, method of getting inside — tunneling in, blasting a hole with explosives, cutting through with a laser, calling in a wrecking ball, or trying a disguise. Some choices get Henry arrested, squashed, or worse in a quick comedic cutscene; only a couple actually crack the vault. Because every option ends the game, replaying to see the outcomes is the whole point.

Tips

  • Don't expect one "correct" answer on your first try — most of the six methods end in a joke failure, and that's intentional.
  • Replay after each ending to work through the rest of the options; a full playthrough of all of them only takes a few minutes.
  • Play it as the prologue it is — the story continues in the game's sequel, Escaping the Prison.
