Drive Mad is a vehicle physics puzzle where the goal is simply to reach the finish line without destroying your truck. Each level presents a short, blocky obstacle course filled with steep ramps, collapsing bridges, and uneven stairs. Your vehicle is springy and prone to tipping, so mashing the gas pedal will usually end in a crash. Instead, you have to carefully manage your momentum, inching over dangerous gaps or hitting ramps at the exact right speed to land safely.
Because the stages are bite-sized, failure is just part of the process. You'll often crash within seconds, realize what went wrong, and instantly restart to try a different approach. As you advance, the game introduces new vehicles with wildly different shapes and weight distributions, forcing you to relearn how to balance them on the fly. It runs smoothly directly in your web browser with no downloads required.
Controls
- Right Arrow / W / D: Accelerate forward
- Left Arrow / S / A: Brake and reverse
- Space / R: Restart the level
Tips for Surviving the Course
- Tap, don't hold: Your truck has a lot of torque. Tapping the gas pedal lightly gives you much better grip and balance over bumpy surfaces than holding it down.
- Control your pitch in mid-air: While airborne, holding forward will make your vehicle's nose dip, and holding reverse will pull it up. Use this to ensure your wheels land flat on the ground.
- Assess the vehicle: Every time the game gives you a new car or truck, take a second to see where its weight is concentrated. A vehicle with huge front wheels drives very differently than a long flatbed.
