Fireboy and Watergirl 6: Fairy Tales is a cooperative puzzle-platformer that takes the elemental duo into a magical temple guarded by glowing fairies. Developed by Oslo Albet, this sixth entry in the legendary series refreshes the dual-character gameplay by introducing mouse-controlled helpers. Players must coordinate the unique elemental powers of Fireboy and Watergirl while guiding color-coded fairies to activate levers, elevators, and doors.

Every chamber is a test of coordination and timing. Fireboy slides easily through pools of red-hot lava but vaporizes instantly upon touching water. Watergirl walks through deep pools of water but evaporates the second she steps into lava. Both must steer clear of the deadly green slime pools that dot the temple floor. To unlock the final exit doors, you will need to guide both heroes safely to their respective exits while collecting elemental diamonds along the way.

Controls

To control the elemental heroes and interact with the fairies, use the following layout:

• Fireboy: Move and jump using the Arrow Keys.
• Watergirl: Move and jump using the A, W, and D keys.
• Fairies: Use your Mouse to click and drag the fairies to light up color-matched lamps or press switches.

Tips for Navigating the Fairy Temple

• Match Fairy Colors: Always drag a fairy to the mechanism that matches its color. If you see a white fairy, use it to activate any color button or lamp, as they are universal wildcards.
• Coordinate the Jumps: Green slime is fatal to both characters. When crossing these pools, jump one character across first before moving the to prevent accidental collisions.
• Collect the Right Gems: Fireboy can only collect red diamonds, while Watergirl can only collect blue diamonds. Plan your paths carefully so each character reaches their designated gems.
• Split the Keyboard: While you can play solo by using both hands, sharing the keyboard with a friend in local co-op makes timing-based switches and fairy dragging much easier.
