Five Nights at Freddy's 3 takes the horror series in a drastically different direction by pitting you against a single, highly intelligent threat. You take the role of a night guard at Fazbear's Fright, a horror attraction built years after the closure of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. The only real physical danger is Springtrap, a rotting animatronic that stalks you through the building's decaying corridors.
Instead of just closing doors and checking lights, survival in this installment is a constant battle against failing hardware. You have to monitor a reboot panel, fixing audio devices, camera systems, and ventilation as they randomly crash. It creates an incredibly tense atmosphere where every second spent rebooting a system is a second Springtrap could be creeping closer to your office.
Controls
You use your Mouse for everything. Move your cursor to the edge of the screen to turn your view, and click the panels to pull up your cameras and maintenance systems. On the camera screen, click Play Audio to lure Springtrap.
Tips
- Use Audio Wisely: The audio lure is your primary defense. Use it in rooms adjacent to Springtrap's location to lead him away from your office. If he gets too close, you are in serious trouble.
- Reboot Quickly: When a system fails, switch to your maintenance panel immediately. Losing ventilation will cause hallucinations that spawn Phantom animatronics, making your night much harder.
- Avoid the Phantoms: If you see a Phantom animatronic on the camera, instantly switch to another camera or drop the monitor. Staring at them triggers a jump scare and breaks your systems.
