Offroader V5 hands you the keys to an impressive lineup of vehicles and lets you loose in a massive, detailed sandbox. Rather than forcing you onto a track with a ticking clock, this driving simulator is entirely about exploration and pushing physics to their limits. You can carve your own path through thick forests, carefully navigate steep mountain passes, or just floor it across wide-open desert dunes.

The real appeal is how differently each vehicle handles the varied terrain. A heavy 4x4 truck will crawl reliably up a rocky incline that would immediately strand a lighter sports buggy, while flat dirt roads let you test top speeds and long drifts. There are no invisible walls stopping you from finding out exactly how far off the beaten path your suspension can take you before something goes wrong.

Controls

• W, A, S, D / Arrows: Drive and steer
• Spacebar: Handbrake
• Shift: Nitro boost (on equipped vehicles)
• C: Change camera view
• R: Reset car position

Tips

• Tap, don't hold the handbrake: When taking sharp corners at high speeds, a quick tap of the spacebar is usually enough to initiate a slide. Holding it down will just spin you out and kill your momentum.
• Know when to reset: If you roll your truck down a cliff or get wedged between trees, just press R. It instantly puts you back on your wheels so you can keep driving.
• Shift your camera: Some precise rock-crawling sections are much easier if you press C to cycle into a chase camera or a first-person view, letting you see exactly where your front tires are landing.
