Starblast.io drops you into a small ship in an open field of asteroids, players, and three warring factions. You mine rock for resources, spend them to grow your ship into something bigger and better armed, and either hunt down players or fend them off before they do the same to you.
The core loop is deceptively simple — mine, upgrade, survive — but the tension comes from risk: a bigger ship is a slower, juicier target, and every asteroid field is shared with players doing exactly what you're doing. Team Mode adds a base where you can turn resources into credits, buy secondary weapons like mines and drones, and even split gems with teammates directly.
Controls
- Arrow keys — steer the ship
- Left mouse button — shoot
Tips
- A fast, low-tier ship dodges asteroids and enemy fire more easily than a big one — practice weaving through minefields before upgrading into something slower.
- In Team Mode, hold V near a teammate to split your gems with them instead of hoarding everything yourself.
- Secondary weapons like mines and drones are worth grabbing from wreckage even if you don't buy them outright — they can turn a losing fight around.
It's built for players who like open-ended multiplayer sessions with no fixed end point — jump in, mine and fight for as long as it stays fun, then log off.
