Stealing the Diamond is a classic interactive comedy where you decide how the hapless thief Henry Stickmin pulls off a museum heist. Rather than relying on reflexes or precise platforming, the game is built entirely around choice. At every major obstacle, you are given a menu of tools, tactics, or ridiculous gadgets to use. Your goal is to find the one sequence of choices that successfully secures the massive Tunisian Diamond and gets Henry out in one piece.
The real draw, however, is failing. Every incorrect choice triggers a unique, fully animated sequence showing exactly how Henry's plan backfires, often with a sarcastic message on the game over screen. You will want to pick the wrong options on purpose just to see every animation.
Controls
The game is completely point-and-click. You simply watch the scenario unfold and click on the on-screen options when the game pauses to present your choices. There are no time limits for most decisions, allowing you to consider which absurd gadget might actually work.
Tips
- Do not worry about making mistakes. Trying every option and seeing the resulting failures is the main point of the game.
- The "Bust In" and "Sneak In" paths offer completely different storylines and endings, so play through both routes to see everything.
- Sometimes the most logical choice is a trap, while the most cartoonish option is the correct way forward.
