About Pudding Monsters

Pudding Monsters is a sliding-puzzle game from ZeptoLab, the studio behind Cut the Rope. Every stage scatters a handful of googly-eyed pudding creatures across a grid, and the goal is to slide them into each until they've all fused into one giant pudding.

Nothing here moves in real time until you send it. Flick a pudding and it slides in a straight line until it hits a wall, an obstacle, or another pudding — so most levels come down to picking the right target and the right order, not quick reflexes. Later stages add sleeping puddings that only wake once another piece bumps them, which turns simple sliding into short chain reactions you have to plan a step ahead.

Controls

Click and drag a pudding monster, then release in the direction you want it to slide. The original release was also on iOS and Android, so on a touchscreen the same motion works as a tap-and-swipe.

Tips

  • Merges only count when two puddings actually touch, so use walls and obstacles to redirect a slide toward a piece you can't hit directly.
  • Sleeping puddings won't move on their own — bump them with another piece on purpose to start a chain instead of stumbling into one by accident.
  • Each level tracks how many moves you use for its star rating, so clearing the board isn't the same as clearing it well — count out the merge order before you commit to the first move.

Pudding Monsters FAQ

How do you play Pudding Monsters?
Click and drag a pudding monster, then release to send it sliding until it hits a wall, an obstacle, or another monster. Clear a level by merging every pudding on the board into one giant pudding.
What are the stars on each level for?
Every level tracks how many moves you use, and finishing within fewer moves earns more of the three stars, so planning the merge order matters more than speed.
Does it work on a touchscreen?
The original ZeptoLab release also shipped on iOS and Android, so on a touchscreen the same tap-and-swipe motion sends a pudding sliding, the same way clicking and dragging does with a mouse.
Who made Pudding Monsters?
ZeptoLab, the studio behind Cut the Rope, released Pudding Monsters in 2012 with more than 125 levels.
